LENT STUDY : CHRISTIAN AID – ACT ON POVERTY Please join us for a hybrid (online and in-person) 6 week study over Lent to empower us to act on poverty. No Bible or church experience necessary and no need to commit to all 6 weeks. We will study Scripture passages, reflect, discuss and pray together. A short PDF packet will be sent out in advance each week covering the topics: Prophetic, Broken, Generous, Located, Hopeful and Together. Come join us on Wednesday evenings (7–8 pm) starting on 18 February at Cramond Kirk Hall (Committee Room) and online on Zoom. CRAMOND KIRK SERVICES Due to issues with the heating in Cramond Kirk, the Sunday morning services will be held in the Kirk Hall until these can be resolved.

TEENAGE CANCER TRUST A coffee morning to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust is being held in Pennywell Kirk Halls, 42 Pennywell Gardens, EH4 4PE from 10 am to 12 noon on Saturday, 7 February. As well as refreshments there will also be goods on sale.  All are welcome.

VISITING TEAM COFFEE MORNING The next Visiting Team coffee morning will be held at the Bruntsfield Golf Club on Thursday, 12 February from 10.30 am to 12 noon.  Cost : £5. Please let Louise know if you’d like to attend. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there for a happy morning full of scones and chat.

A CEILIDH FOR ALL is being held in Cramond Kirk Halls on Saturday, 21 February from 6.30 pm to 9 pm. Ceilidh Caleerie will be playing – the same excellent band we had last year – and refreshments, including hot pies, will be available. Tickets cost £15 (£5 for under 18s) and will be on sale on Sunday mornings, from the Kirk Office during the week or by emailing office@cramondkirk.org.uk. Please join us for a great evening of music and dancing.

EDINBURGH NORTHWEST KIRK FACEBOOK PAGE Did you know that Edinburgh Northwest Kirk has its own Facebook page? It's called Edinburgh Northwest Kirk and you can read up to date news about our church and the events taking place at Cramond and Pennywell or in the local community. If you use Facebook, please Like and Follow the Edinburgh Northwest Kirk page so that you can keep up to date with the latest news. This will soon be our main Facebook page and we will stop posting on the Cramond Kirk Facebook page.

THE FAIR TRADE STALL will be up and running in Cramond Kirk Hall following the 10 am service on Sunday, 8 February so please don’t forget to stock up on your Valentine’s treats.

THE FLOWER LIST for 2026 is currently available pinned to the Kirk Office door in the Kirk Hall. If you’d like to provide the flowers one Sunday in the coming year, please add your name to the list or contact Louise in the Kirk Office. If you require assistance with arranging flowers or would like to have them arranged for you, please contact the Flower Convenors through the Kirk Office.

CRAMOND COFFEE & CHAT is on every Monday from 10.30 am to 12 noon in the Gathering Space of Cramond Kirk Hall.

‘THE PLACE TO BE’ COFFEE MORNING is held in Pennywell Kirk Hall every Monday at 10 am with a monthly outing. Further details are available from Violetta on 07305 848150. All are welcome.

THE MURRAYFIELD CRAMOND PROBUS CLUB will be holding its next meeting at 10.30 am on Wednesday, 4 February at the Royal Burgess Golf Club with their guest speaker, Ken Donaldson and his talk on “Death in the New Town”. If you’d like further information on the Club, please contact Gavin Duncan at gavinduncan4915@hotmail.com.

THE CRAMOND LADIES’ PROBUS CLUB meets at 10 am on Thursday, 5 February in Cramond Kirk Hall with guest speaker, Susan Anderson and the second part of her talk on “The Americas”.

THE CRAMOND WALKERS next walk is on Sunday, 8 February with a walk from South Queensferry through the Dalmeny Estate arriving around 3.30 pm at Fiona Black’s house at 2 Brae Park for a party. Meet at the Little Bakery (6-7 High Street, South Queensferry) at 11.40 am for refreshments. Bus 43 from Barnton to South Queensferry police station at 11.20 am.  Further information is available from Simon Gillam at cramond.walkers@yahoo.co.uk.

OXFAM STAMP APPEAL Please keep collecting your used postage stamps because although the Church of Scotland stamp appeal is coming to an end, we are now collecting stamps for Oxfam. Donations can be left in the box on the table outside the Kirk Office.

TUB2PUB Many thanks to everyone who has handed in empty big plastic sweetie tubs for the TUB2PUB recycling scheme. The last date for handing in tubs is Sunday, 8 February.  They can be left on the table outside the Kirk Office at Cramond.

FRESH START Many thanks for the recent donations of lamps, duvets and kitchen utensils. Fresh Start are currently in need of towels, small electrical items, dinner plates and soup bowls. Donations can be left in the Fresh Start box in the Kirk Hall at any time or delivered to the Fresh Start warehouse at 22-24 Ferry Road Drive from Mon – Thurs, 9 am – 4 pm.

LIVE STREAMING Please note that the 10 am service at Cramond Kirk and the 11 am service at Pennywell Kirk are live streamed to the Kirk website every Sunday morning. The cameras will focus on the front of the Kirks – the pulpit, lectern and Communion Table. However some of those sitting at the front may also be in camera shot. For those of you watching from home, the links to the services can be found HERE.
