Thursday 6th February 202009:30Cramond Walkers - Pentlands from Swanston
From the car park at Swanston our walk goes through Swanston village to the ski centre, then follows the Capital View walk over Caerketton (478m) and Allermuir (493m), then continues over Capelaw (454m) and descends to Bonaly reservoir and back to Swanston. Meet: Barnton Avenue West at 9.30 am or Swanston car park at 9.50 am

Barnton & Cramond Community Club meet in the Kirk Hall for an afternoon with the Sing for Fun group. All are welcome

Wednesday 12th February 202009:30Cramond Walkers - Cardrona Forest
We start with refreshments at Nashy’s, in the old Cardrona station building, where anyone travelling by X62 bus can join us (9.20 am from Edinburgh bus station arrives 10.44 am). We then drive a short distance to Cardrona Forest car park, and head up into the forest on good tracks, on a loop that includes Cardrona Tower, Castle Knowe and Pikes Knowe. Meet: Barnton Avenue West at 9.30 am or Nashy’s at Cardrona 10.30 am.

The Wednesday Club meets in the Kirk Hall with guest speaker, Maureen Kelly & "You Rang, Madam" All ladies are welcome

The Cramond Association History Section meets in the Kirk Hall for a talk by Patricia Andrew on Ramsay Lodge or the Guse-pye House, a dwelling ‘hidden in plain sight’ All are welcome. There is a £1 entry fee for non-members.

Barnton & Cramond Community Club meet in the Kirk Hall for a talk by Andrew Gibb entitled "No Stranger to these Courts" All are welcome
Saturday 22nd February 202009:30Cramond Walkers - Falkirk Wheel and Tunnel
Meet at Edinburgh Park station at 9.30 am for 9.43 am train to Camelon then walk to Lock 16 to pick up the westbound towpath on the Forth & Clyde canal. Coffee stop at the Falkirk Wheel then climb alongside the Wheel to pass through the modern Roughcastle Tunnel and follow the eastbound Union Canal towpath towards Falkirk. There is an opportunity to shorten the walk at Falkirk High station which has 4 trains an hour to Haymarket and Waverley, not stopping at Edinburgh Park but 2 an hour make a connection to that station at Polmont. The main walk continues through the Falkirk Tunnel to Polmont station from where 2 trains an hour run to Edinburgh Park. No suitable café has been found in Polmont so a picnic is recommended. Meet: Edinburgh Park Station at 9.30 am or Camelon at 10.15 am

A ceilidh for all the family with music & help from Ceilidh Kids (www.ceilidhkids.com) as well as "haggis curling", pizza and juice. All are welcome. If you'd like to join us, please contact the Kirk Office at cramond.kirk@blueyonder.co.uk or on 0131 336 2036 to register. We want to make sure there's enough pizza for all !
